Space Travel and Other SciFi Dreams

Looking up at the sky each night and seeing all the stars and planets continues to humble me. Part of me knows we've been out there, beyond the Earth. You can call them rockets or shuttles, but we've already gone exploring in a kind of spaceship. I start to think that if we can manage to visit the Moon and Mars, perhaps we will venture much farther one day.

All SciFi writers are a blend of philosopher and scientist. They work out elaborate scenarios of what life is like beyond the reality of life on this small planet. I find myself assuming that the rest of the universe is filled with creatures like us. This is my way of not being arrogant enough to think Earth is the only planet of its kind.
